Dr. Amir Arvin Sazgar is a Professor of the Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery department of Tehran University of Medical Sciences and accredited Facial Plastic Surgeon with near fifteen years experience in academic postgraduate teaching. Dr. Sazgar is a highly trained specialist in Facial plastic surgery of the head and neck practicing in Tehran. His training has included facial aesthetic surgery, complex reconstruction after head & neck cancer resection, and craniofacial trauma reconstruction.
Dr. Sazgar graduated with High Honors from Tehran University of Medical Sciences and He was among the top three participants in the National Board Examinations in Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery. He completed his sabbatical period (International fellowship) training in Facial Plastic Surgery with Professor Sam Most at Stanford University, California.
He, as an otolaryngologist, has been the pioneer of formal education of the Facial Plastic Surgery in the country and has introduced and performed various new techniques in rhinoplasty for the first time in Iran. He is also a member of American Academy of Facial Plastic Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS).
Dr Sazgar has published and presented numerous scientific papers in well-known journal and in many international congresses.
